Please note! Sensor installation should only be carried out by specialists.
Please observe the safety instructions and directions stipulated by the vehicle
manufacturer and automotive industry!
Warning! Inadequate wire connections may lead, through short-circuiting:
– to wire fires
– to the airbag being released
– to electronic control equipment being damaged
– to electrical functions (direction indicators, brake light, horn, ignition, lights)
failing
For this reason, please observe the following pointers when working on the wires:
30 (input of battery plus direct),
15 (switched plus, behind the battery)
31 (return wire from the battery, mass)
The most secure form of connection is to solder and then to insulate the wire ends
together.
For removable connections, only use insulated wire lugs, connectors and flat plug
receptacles. Do not use crimp connectors (wire connectors) or terminal blocks.
Use crimping pliers to connect the wire with wire lugs, connectors and flat plug re-
ceptacles.
With wire connections to 31 (mass):
Screw the wire with wire lug and toothed disc to a vehicle's own mass screw or screw it
with the wire lug, tapping screw and toothed disc to the body sheet-metal.
Pay attention to good mass transfer!
Warning! Always disconnect the minus pole of the battery prior to working on
the vehicle electrical system due to the short-circuiting hazard.
Likewise disconnect the minus pole on vehicles with an additional battery.
Please note! When the battery's minus pole is disconnected, all volatile
memories of the comfort electronic system lose their stored data.
