CHARGING THE BATTERIES WITH ON-BOARD CHARGER

CAUTION!
CAREFULLY READ THE BATTERY CHARGER USER AND MAINTENAN-
CE MANUAL BEFORE CHARGING THE BATTERIES.
For battery-operated machines, the electrical system must not be powered. Proceed as follows:
• Stop brush and suction rotation by pressing the relevant buttons located on the start-up panel.
• Turn the ignition key-switch to "0" and then remove the key.

CAUTION!
NEVER LEAVE BATTERIES TO RUN DOWN COMPLETELY EVEN IF THE
MACHINE IS NOT BEING USED. REMOVE THE RECOVERY TANK AND
CHARGE THE BATTERIES IN A COVERED AND WELL-VENTILATED
AREA.
DO NOT USE OPEN FLAMES OR SMOKE NEAR BATTERIES.
TAKE CARE WITH THE LIQUID AS IT IS CORROSIVE.
DO NOT CAUSE SPARKS NEAR THE BATTERIES.
BATTERY GASES ARE EXPLOSIVE; DO NOT CAUSE SHORT-CIRCUITS
OR INVERT THEIR POLARITY.
Battery charging status is signalled by LEDs 1 located on the control panel. When the batteries start getting
exhausted, LED colours change as follows:
Green= batteries charged, controls are enabled > Yellow= batteries semi-charged, controls are enabled >
Red (fi xed)= Batteries exhausted, brush activation and solenoid valve are disabled. > Red (fl ashing)= Batte-
ries exhausted, all controls are disabled.
Use battery charger 2 to recharge the batteries.
NORDELETTRONICA charger:
Connect plug 3 of the battery charger to the power socket.
When the charger 2 is switched on, the three LEDs 4 light up, then the green LED fl ashes to indicate the charging
curve of the relevant battery, Lead, Gel or AGM.
See the table of Setting of the charging curve" (Fig.9B).
The battery charger starts charging the batteries, and the RED Led located on the battery charger is on. *LEDs
4 indicate the charging phase:
SPE charger:
Connect plug 3 of the battery charger to the power socket, so that it performs a check every time it is plugged.
Leds fl ash for two seconds to identify the charging curve setted.
Nr.2 Flashes of the Red Led with lead-acid battery (curve 1).
Nr.2 Flashes of the Green Led with Gel battery (curve 2) or AGM battery (curve 3).

Once the check is complete, the battery charger starts charging the batteries, and the RED Led located on the
battery charger is on. *LEDs 4 indicate the charging phase:
*Red LED, 1st phase : Initial charging.
*Yellow LED, 2nd phase: Constant voltage
*Green LED, 3rd phase: End of charging, the battery is ready.
