5. SIZE ADJUSTMENT TEST
Upon adjustment but before using the harness you
should try being suspended in it for at least 5 minutes in
the planned usage situation in a safe place. When prop-
erly selected (size) and adjusted the suspension test
must not result in hindered breathing and/or pain. When
the harness has been applied, its metal parts should not
contact genitals or arm pits. Free suspension in the har-
ness must not lead to excessive arching of the back,
tensioning of the body, pressure on the genitals, loins or
arm pits. Women's lymphatic vessels of the breast
should not be constricted if at all possible.
6. RETIREMENT INDICATORS
a) FALL INDICATOR. When the red part of the webbing is
exposed, the harness must be retired. This should be
monitored on a regular basis. b) WEBBING INDICATOR.
When red fibres are showing on the load bearing web-
bing, the harness must be retired.
7. INSTALLATION OF A ROPE CLAMP
The harness can be factory equipped with a rope clamp to
EN 12841-B to ascend a rope. If not, the harness can be
equipped by the user with a rope clamp to EN 12481-B.
Connect the rope clamp via a rectangular connector to the
textile loop of the frontal attachment element and tie up-
wards using the adjustable webbing above. Please follow
the requirements on the product and the instructions for
use of the rope clamp accordingly and never use without
back up. The compatibility of the rope clamp with the con-
nector and the harness as well as smooth functioning of the
entire system has to be ensured by the user and the user
also bears the full responsibility for it. Compatibility and
function need to be checked in a safe place before actual
use. Attention: metal can damage the webbing, check for
damages on webbing, sharp edges or burrs on metal.
8. INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES
a) Workseat: The work seat loops (F) are meant exclu-
sively for use in connection with a work seat. The selec-
tion of suitable connectors is the responsibility of the
user. b) Tool clip holder: 1) Max. 25 kg. 2-3) Rope guiding
attachment point in the thigh loop, vertically and hori-
zontally. Admissible weight of gear for this attachment
point: 0 kg. c) Toolbag Attachment
9. LANYARD PARKING ELEMENT
If Y-type lanyards are used in conjunction with an energy
absorber, the energy absorber may not work in case one
branch of the lanyard is connected to the attachment
point and the second branch to a load bearing part of the
harness. Therefore, it is recommended to attach the sec-
ond branch to the climbing harness by means of tear-off
loops (d).

SERVICE LIFE AND REPLACEMENT
The service life of the product mainly depends on the
type and frequency of use as well as on external influenc-
es. When approaching the durability limits or at the end
of the maximum service life indicated, the product must
be removed from use. Products made of synthetic fibres
(Polyamid, Polyester, Dyneema®, Aramid, Vectran®) are
subject to some aging even if not used; their service life
especially depends on the intensity of the ultraviolet ra-
diation and other climatic conditions they are exposed
to. When approaching the durability limits or the end of
the maximum service life indicated, the product must be
removed from use.

Textile parts: providing proper use and no detectable
sign of wear showing as well as under optimum storage

Frequent use or extremely high loading may substantially
reduce the useful life.
Therefore, before use, check the product for possible
damages and correct function. If any of the following
applies (list non-exhaustive), remove the product from
service immediately and turn it over to a qualified person
