This section lists common issues related to the Voice Control Package and their solutions.
For issues not addressed in this section, consult the SDC3 Base IFU, or contact Stryker
Customer Support.

SDC3 not recognizing voice
commands
No voice feedback from SDC3

When using the programmed
USB dongle, the SDC3
announces, "Invalid Card
Detected"
SDC3 does not recognize an
SFB/FireWire device.
S S o o l l u u t t i i o o n n
Position the headset over the head so the mouthpiece
is no more than three fingers away from the corner of
the mouth.
Ensure that the user is alerting the system using the
"Device Control" command.
Ensure the microphone is not set to Mute.
Ensure the microphone is powered on.
Ensure that the headset battery is fully charged.
Ensure the volume is not set to mute.
On the SDC3 console, select the Volume menu and
increase the volume with the right arrow button.
Reboot the SDC3.
If the error persists, proceed according to the "Service
and Claims" section of the SDC3 Base User Guide.
The USB dongle is single-use only. Please contact
your local Stryker Representative.
1. Set the SDC3 power to off.
2. Connect the SFB/FireWire cable to both the
device and the SDC3.
3. Set the SDC3 power to on.
