RESIDUAL RISK DUE TO THE LIFTING OPERATIONS AND TO THE INTERVENTIONS THAT REQUEST
MANUAL OPERATIONS
The lifting and transportation operations of the electric equipment or of its parts are manual operations that
behave a residual risk due above all to knocks, crushing, dragging, grazing or abrasion. The
transportation/livening operations responsible must inform adequately the personnel on these residual risks.
It is present a residual risk, of knock, abrasion, cutting, sting and dragging, during the maintenance, the
cleaning and the further manual operations, for the operator and the maintenance man due also to the needs
to disassembly and/or place the tools parts, etc...
Both the livening personnel and the operator and maintenance man besides to be adequately informed and
trained and to respect the foreseen use modalities, must use protection devices of the head, of the hands, of
the feet, clothes adequate to the work place and to the respiratory ways, as for example anti knock
helmet, anti cutting gloves with metallic fibers, anti sliding shoes, resistant and suitable to the particular
nature of the risk, with iron tip.
RESIDUAL RISK DUE TO THE ELETTROCUZIONE DANGER
IT is present a residual risk for the electric equipment maintenance man, in the intermediate circuits in DC of
the activations when the fixed protections that guarantee a IP 2X protection degree are opened, due to the
presence of a voltage major of 60V for a time superior to 5 seconds after the feeding interruption,
opening the general sectioning device of the electric feeding.
So the maintenance men must work with caution, respect the indications showed in the labels stuck near these
components and wait at least 5 minutes after the feeding interruption, opening the general sectioning device
of the electric feeding, before intervening in DC intermediate circuits of the activations. These people must
besides follow the appropriate maintenance men safety standards.
RISK DUE TO THE POSSIBLE BURN
For the operator in the anterior zone (loading zone) and on the fixed level, there is a residual risk in the
loading/unloading phase, of tooling, of maintenance and of cleaning and during all further manual
operations that happen introducing the hands or other body parts in the dangerous areas, due to the possible
burn, due to the presence of parts that present a temperature superior to the burn level (45°C).
For the maintenance man in the anterior zone (loading zone), back one (access for repairs, resistances change,
etc and on the fixed level, there is a residual risk in the loading/unloading phase, of tooling, of maintenance
and of cleaning and during all further manual operations that happen introducing the hands or other body
parts in the dangerous areas, due to the possible burn, due to the presence of parts that present a
temperature superior to the burn level (45°C).
So both the operator both the maintenance man, besides to be adequately informed and trained, must work with
caution, respect the indications showed in the labels stuck near the fixed shelters and of the different access
points and proceeding with the maximum attention, avoiding the contact with these parts.
From the stop, or in emergency or for functional stop or for absence of feeding electric energy:
1. the operator for the loading and unloading activities must always use appropriate protection devices
for the hands and for the arms, as for example gloves and clothes against the thermal danger,
resistant and suitable to the particular nature of the risk.
2. the maintenance man to perform interventions before that the above time is spent must always use
appropriate protection devices.
3. both the operator and the maintenance man, to perform operations of cleaning, maintenance, parts
change, etc..., must not access with any body part, hands and arms included, in the machine internal side,
but they must wait at least 4 HOURS after the feeding interruption (parts cooling time with a
temperature considered of burn) as showed in the labels placed near the access point and near the
fixed/moving shelters.
The workers must not put on rings, wristwatches, jewels, torn clothes, scarves, ties, or any other clothing or
pendulum accessories that can be a risk source; tighten well the sleeves around the wrists, and keep always
well picked the hairs.
