► Open the battery compartment,
► Pull the battery (1) halfway out of the battery
compartment and tilt it sideways.
► Guide the battery (1) downward and insert it.
The battery is securely in the installation posi‐
tion.

15.6.2.2 Removing the battery

NOTICE
The battery does not require maintenance.
► Only remove the battery when it is dam‐
aged or if the ride-on mower is to be stored
for an extended period or disposed of.
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Detach the grass catcher box,
► Open the battery compartment,
► Set the battery in installation position,

► Fit 2 wrenches against the nut (1) and
screw (2) at the negative terminal of the bat‐
tery.
► Loosen the nut (1) and hold it in place with a
second wrench.
► Completely unscrew the nut (1).
► Remove the nut (1), screw (2), washers (3)
and spring washer (4).
► Remove the black cable (5) from the negative
terminal of the battery.
The negative terminal is disconnected.

► Remove the cap (6) from the positive terminal
of the battery.
► Fit 2 wrenches against the nut (7) and
screw (8) on the positive terminal of the bat‐
tery.
► Loosen the nut (7) and hold it in place with a
second wrench.
► Completely unscrew the nut (7).
► Remove the nut (7), screw (8), washers (9)
and spring washer (10).
► Detach the red cable (11) from the positive ter‐
minal of the battery.
The positive terminal is disconnected.
► Take out the battery.
► Attach the screws, washers, spring washers
and nuts to the battery terminals for safe keep‐
ing.
► Stow the connecting cable securely in the bat‐
tery compartment.
► Close the battery compartment,

15.6.2.3 Inserting the battery

NOTICE
If the battery is not sufficiently charged, the ride-
on mower cannot start.
► Use a suitable measuring instrument to
check the state of charge of the battery.
► If the battery voltage is below 11.5 V:
Charge the battery with a suitable charger.
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Detach the grass catcher box,
► Open the battery compartment,
► Set the battery to the installation position,

► If the screws, washers, spring washers and
nuts are attached to the terminals of the bat‐
tery for safekeeping: Remove the screws,
washers, spring washers and nuts from the
battery terminals.
