Transporting the ride-on mower with a means of
transport
► Secure the means of transport against tipping
over.
► Position the loading ramps, set according the
track width and the wheelbase of the ride-on
mower, against the means of transport so that
the ramps cannot shift.
► Use the loading ramps to carefully drive the
ride-on mower onto the means of transport.
► Select the lowest cutting height,
► Shut off the engine and allow it to cool down,

► Check the fuel tank cap for a secure and
proper fit,

► Close the fuel cock,
► Push the ride-on mower forward until the
bumper touches the end panel of the means of
transport.
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Use suitable fasteners to attach and secure
the ride-on mower to the means of transport.
► Position suitable wedges under the wheels of
the ride-on mower so that the ride-on mower
cannot move.

13 Storing

13.1
Storing the ride-on mower
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► The ride-on mower should be stored so that
the following conditions are met:
– The ride-on mower is in a safe condition.
– The ride-on mower is out of the reach of
children.
– The ride-on mower is clean and dry.
– The ride-on mower cannot inadvertently be
set in motion.
– The fuel cock is closed.
► If the ride-on mower is to be stored for more
than 3 months, the following points must be
met as well:
► Run the fuel tank empty.
► Movable parts must be greased and oiled.
► Change the engine oil as described in the
User Manual for the engine.
► Follow the instructions for storage in the
User Manual for the engine.
► Remove the battery,
► Store the charged battery safely in a cool
and dry room out of the reach of children.

14 Cleaning

14.1
Cleaning the ride-on mower
NOTICE
■ Using a high-pressure washer or water jet for
cleaning can damage the ride-on mower.
► Do not clean the ride-on mower with a high-
pressure washer or water jet.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Allow the ride-on mower to cool down.
► Detach the mowing deck,
► First, remove any accumulated grass clippings
using a wooden stick.
► Clean the underside of the mowing deck and
the blades with a wooden stick, a soft brush or
a moist cloth.
► Clean the top of the mowing deck with a
wooden stick, a soft brush or a moist cloth.
Ensure that the water does not reach the V-
belt and the toothed belt.
► Detach the grass catcher box,
► Use running water and a soft brush to clean
the grass catcher box at a distance from the
ride-on mower.
► Clean the level sensor with a dry, soft brush.
► Detach the discharge chute,
► Use running water and a soft brush to clean
the discharge chute at a distance from the
ride-on mower.
► Open the engine hood,
► Remove any grass clippings from the engine
compartment and the gearbox.
► Clean the cooling ribs of the engine and the
gearbox.
► Allow the ride-on mower, mowing deck, grass
catcher box and the discharge chute to dry.
► Close the engine hood,
► Attach the discharge chute,
► Attach the grass catcher box,
► Attach the mowing deck,

Maintenance intervals depend on the ambient
conditions and the operating conditions. STIHL
recommends the following maintenance inter‐
vals:

User Manual.
