► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Ease the pressure on the front wheels,
15.5.1.
► Clean the grease nipple (1) on both steering
knuckles of the front axle.
► Apply the grease gun filled with lubricating
grease to the grease nipples (1).
► Press in the lubricating grease.
Lubricating grease often leaks from steering
knuckles.
► Pull off the grease gun.
► Remove any leaking lubricating grease.
► Load the front axle.

Removing and installing the steering
column cover
15.7.1.1 Removing the steering column cover
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Press in the retaining lugs (1) on both sides.
► Remove the steering column cover (2).
The steering column is open.

► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.

► Insert the steering column cover (1) from
below into the dashboard (2) and press it
down.
The guides (3) of the steering column
cover (1) must rest flush in the guides of the
dashboard.
► Allow the snap-in hook (4) to engage in the
mudguard (5).
The steering column is closed.

Removing and inserting the battery

15.7.2.1 Removing the battery

NOTICE
The battery does not require maintenance.
► Only remove the battery when it is dam‐
aged or if the ride-on mower is to be stored
for an extended period or disposed of.
► Place the ride-on mower on a level surface.
► Shut off the engine,
► Engage the parking brake,
► Remove the ignition key and store it securely.
► Remove the steering column cover,

Disconnecting the negative terminal
► Place 2 wrenches against the nut (1) and
screw (2) on the negative terminal of the bat‐
tery.
► Loosen the nut (1) and hold it in place with a
second wrench.
► Completely unscrew the nut (1).
