► Guide the cutting height lever (1) outward.
The lever engages at the desired snap-in
level.

11.7.1 Mowing
Forward mowing
► Start the engine,
► Set the throttle lever to the "MAX" position,

► Carefully press the gas pedal.
The ride-on mower drives forward.
Mowing in reverse
► Start the engine,
► Set the throttle lever to the "MAX" position,

► Press the safety switch for mowing in reverse.
► Engage the blades within 6 seconds.
► Carefully press the gas pedal.
The ride-on mower drives in reverse.
Change of direction of travel when the blades are
engaged
► For mowing in reverse: Press the safety switch
for mowing in reverse for 5 seconds before or
1 second after the change.
► Bring the ride-on mower to a standstill.
► Select the desired direction of travel,

11.7.2 Blade brake clutch
11.7.2.1 Engaging the blades
NOTICE
If the blades are not engaged as described in
this User Manual, they may be damaged.
► Do not engage the blades when driving in
tall grass.
► Do not engage the blades in the lowest cut‐
ting height.
► Only engage the blades at the maximum
engine speed.
NOTICE
When you engage the blades while driving, the
engine speed drops briefly.
► Start the engine,
► Set the throttle lever to the "MAX" position,

To mow in the forward direction:
► Select the forward direction of travel,

► Press the mowing deck switch for at least
1 second.
This engages the blades.
To mow in reverse:
► Select the reverse direction of travel,

► Press the safety switch for mowing in reverse.
► Press the mowing deck switch for at least
1 second.
This engages the blades.
11.7.2.2 Disengaging the mowing deck
► Select the highest cutting height,
► Press the mowing deck switch for at least
1 second.
After 5 seconds, the blades come to a standstill.
The engine continues to run.
11.7.3 Enabling and disabling automatic dis‐
engagement
11.7.3.1 Enabling automatic disengagement
The ride-on mower can be adjusted so that the
blades automatically disengage when the grass
catcher box is full. This setting prevents the dis‐
charge chute from becoming clogged. The selec‐
ted setting remains active until the user changes
it.
► Shut off the engine,
