2.3. Battery charging plug
At the battery charging plug (pos.3) the battery can be re-charged while installed in the vehicle.
2.4. Push-button for activation of engine reverse mode
The push-button (pos. 2) for activation of engine reverse activates the electronic reverse mode and
can be used when
the vehicle is at standstill
the engine is idling
By actuating the push-button the engine changes its
rotation sense by a special control of the ignition.
The actuation of the reverse gear works both at idling
st
and at 1
gear.
To drive backwards however the 1
engaged.
When the reverse gear is activated, a signal LED (pos. 1)
flashes at the multi-functional display and a warning tone
sounds.
Attention:
Please, read the warning hints regarding
reverse gear on the battery cover.
To get back to forward drive, activate the push-button for
reverse gear again under the same conditions, and the
engine gets back to forward drive, the LED (light emitting
diode) goes out and the warning tone stops.
This technology was developed by ROTAX for the Kart and
applied for patent.
2.5. Multi-functional display (MFD)
The multi-functional display indicates data important for
operation,
e.g.
engine
operating hours and battery voltage.
Further it indicates the optimum timing to shift from 1
gear and whether the reverse gear is activated.
Attention: Operating the vehicle without a functioning multi-functional display makes warranty
void.
Note:
This measuring instrument is operated by the engine battery. Only when switching
on the ignition, the multi-functional display starts operating. The multi-functional
display is not operated by an own battery, thus no exchange of battery is necessary.
