Note: If the CIK-front bumper is fitted, the front fender cannot be suspended any more in
the front shield.
Drill a bore of 6.5 mm (0.26 in.) in the front shield.
Fix the front shield with a screw M6x20, a shim
and a securing nut on the CIK-front bumper.
Note: If you wish to use the CIK-front bumper permanently on your vehicle, you can
remove the two fixation brackets (Pos. 1) from the front shield.
1.1.4. Rear fender system (RFS)
The rear fender system (Ill. 8) consisting of 4
fenders connected with 2 plastic tubes create a
straight line run-up surface. These parts are
elastic and thus can avoid damages (according
to the crash tests prescribed by CIK – FIA).
1.1.5. Rear tire protection system (RTPS)
The rear tire protection system was developed by
ROTAX especially for application in the Kart RM1 and
patented. This new rear tire protection system can
prevent many of the injuries and damages on the
vehicle usual in Kart sports due to driving up on the
rear wheel of the preceeing Kart.
The 2 rotatably supported run-up rollers behind the
right and left rear wheel prevent the "climbing" of the
following vehicle.
