When the main charging procedure is concluded, the check lamp lights green, but even then still
additional charging current flows which assures full charging.
The full charging time is 12 hours.
Note:
The recharger may remain connected also for a longer time with the battery, as the
battery accumulates only the current necessary for full charging.
Note:
If the charging check lamp is still lit red after 24 hours, you may suppose that the
battery is defective.
Note:
A red / green flashing appears at transition from main charging to additional
charging and is no sign for a defective recharger.
Note:
When the LED switches to green light, the battery is not yet fully charged, and
the now starting additional charging time may take up to 5 hours.
Unplug the recharger from the main power receptable.
Detach the exit cables of the recharger from the battery.
Now the battery is fully ready for use.
Note:
The charging status of the battery can be estimated via the battery voltage. A
precise value can be measured only 15 minutes after the charging process or 15
minutes after the last consumption of current from the battery. The battery voltage
can me measured, at battery removed from the vehicle, with a commercially
available voltmeter or, with battery installed in the vehicle, is shown on the multi-
functional display (at switch position „ON").
The battery can also be charged when removed from the
vehicle. Use the adapter cable (ROTAX part no. 266
020) and proceed as follows:
Connect adaptor cable (pos.2) to battery poles
(pos.1).
Attention: Take care to use the correct connector:
red ( + ) flat connector ( + ) to red ( + )
pole and black ( - ) flat connector to
black ( - ) pole.
A wrong connection will destroy the
battery and/or the recharger.
Connect charging plug of the recharger (3) with the connector of the adapter cable
(2).
Continue as described for charging procedure with battery installed in the vehicle.
