mobile device compatibility.
The healthcare professional can use the app to adjust the knee to the user's physiology (weight, strength, etc.), gait style, and personal preferences.
The patient can use the Össur Logic app to check the status of the device, monitor the battery charge level, count steps, access training programs, and
view instructions for use.
See instructions on how to connect to the app in Usage section.

DEVICE SELECTION

See Össur catalog for a list of recommended components.
Use Össur titanium adapters to achieve weatherproof performance.
Use screws with anti-corrosive coating.
Note: Adapter installation and set-screw tightening shall be performed according to instructions provided in their respective accompanying
documents.

ALIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Bench Alignment (Fig. 3)
Alignment Goal
Alignment reference line (B) should:
– pass through midpoint of socket at the ischial tuberosity level (D)
– pass through knee axis (A)
– fall at the 1/3 mark on the inside of the foot cover.
Note: Prioritize knee alignment over foot alignment if there is a mismatch.
Alignment Instructions
1. Position the foot so that the alignment reference line (B) falls at the 1/3 mark on the inside of the foot cover (with the foot cover and shoe on).
Consider the external rotation of the foot.
2. Use the applicable adapters to connect the knee to the foot and establish the correct knee center height.
3. Position the knee so that the alignment reference line passes through knee axis (A)
4. On the lateral side of the socket, make a first mark at the midpoint of the socket at the ischial tuberosity level (D). Make a second mark at the
midpoint of the socket distally (E). Draw a line through both marks.
5. Position the socket so the alignment reference line (B) goes through first mark at the midpoint of the socket at the ischial tuberosity level (D).
6. Adjust the socket flexion to 5° in addition to the existing position (i. e., hip flexion contracture) and set the height of the full prosthesis.
7. Use the applicable adapters to connect the knee to the socket.
Caution: At maximum flexion, ensure that a minimum distance of 3 mm (1/8") remains between the device and the socket (Fig. 4). If contact between
device and socket cannot be avoided due to socket volume, make sure that the point of contact is on the device frame directly below the user interface
panel. Keep the contact area flat and cushioned for pressure distribution.
Static Alignment
Turn the device on.
– Make sure the patient stands with equal weight on both legs.
– Check for correct prosthesis length.
– Check internal / external rotation.
– Check for correct load on toe and heel.
Dynamic Alignment
1. Keep device powered ON.
2. Ensure the patient is familiar with how the device functions.
3. Tell the patient to walk between parallel bars with usual gait. This lets the patient get used to the behavior of the device.
4. Adjust dynamic alignment as required.
– Make sure that the motion in swing and stance phases stays in the line of progression.
– Make sure to achieve step-length symmetry.
5. The Össur Logic App must be used for setting device parameters during dynamic alignment.
Note: Use the "Auto Adjustment" function in the Össur Logic app to adjust the device for basic use. Use the "Advanced Settings" function to fine tune the
device.
If stability modifications are desired after patient assessment, the reference line can be shifted up to 5 mm (3/16") anterior or 5 mm (3/16") posterior to
the knee axis.
