17. Removal of the Mother Board (19)
a) Make sure all of the cables are disconnected from the Mother Board.
b) Remove the six screws (21) holding the board in place,
c) Lift up on the end opposite to the external cable ports and gently rock the board
so that it can come free.
18. Removal of the Bedrail Brackets (27)
a) Make sure that the brackets are fully collapsed before proceeding.
b) Remove the screws (24).
c) Remove the cap locks (25) and the clip tension stops (26).
d) Remove the bedrail brackets.
19. Horizontal to Vertical Configuration, Front Panel
a) Remove the two screws (29).
b) Pull the front panel out and rotate 90° counter-clockwise. Reinsert front panel.
c) Reinstall the two screws (29).
d) Rernove the four feet (28) and four receptacle covers (3) and exchange their locations.
2.6 SpO2 Upgrade Instructions
To install the SpO2 Cable Assembly (70):
Note: Refer to the Service Manual for isometric drawings and parts description.
. Follow the instructions for Removal of the Top Cover, section 2.5, Step #1.
. Follow the instructions for Removal of the Printer Assembly #10 Part A & B (if
option is installed.
Follow the instructions for Removal of the Battery Box #9.
Follow the instructions for Removal of the Speaker #13.
Align the SpOz cable assembly (70) in the space provided.
. install the two screws (62) in the SpO2 cable assembly outer ring to the front frame.
Install the SpO2 Bd. (17) into the Mother Bd. (19).

. Remove the Interface Bd. (18) from the unit. Remove the shield and locate SW1.
Adjust switch #4 to the on position. Place the shield on the Interface Bd. and reinstall
the board onto the Mother Bd.
. Install the SpO2 cable (70) assembly the SpOe Bd. (17) at connector J9.
