m ATTENTION!
Only use the blades recommended by the manufac-
turer for this device. There is a risk of injury due to
loss of control when using other blades.
Avoid overtightening and possible damage to the
threads. Cutter bars or screws with worn threads
must be replaced immediately.
10. Servicing
m WARNING! Disconnect the mains plug from the
main power supply before any cleaning, adjustment,
maintenance or repair work!
Machine care
The planer/jointer/thicknesser requires little mainte-
nance. The bearings have permanent lubrication.
After approx. 10 hours of work, we recommend oiling
the following parts:
• Bearings of the infeed and outfeed rollers.
• Bearing for the pulley and gear wheel.
The threaded spindle for the height adjustment of the
thicknesser table may only be treated with a dry lu-
bricant.
The tabletop and the infeed and outfeed rollers must
always be kept free of resin.
Dirty infeed/outfeed rollers must be cleaned.
Check the vent openings on the motor at regular in-
tervals for dust accumulation in order to avoid the mo-
tor overheating.
After prolonged use, it is recommended to have the
machine checked by an authorised service centre.
Tool care
The planing shaft, clamping devices, blade supports
and blades must be regularly cleaned of resin, be-
cause a clean tool improves the cutting quality.
To do so, the clamping devices, blade supports and
blades can be placed in a commercial resin remov-
er for 24 hours. Aluminium tools may only be made
resin-free with cleaning liquids that do not attack this
type of metal.
Attention:
If the condition of the electrical network is poor, this
can lead to a brief drop in power. Contact a specialist.
11. Storage (Fig. 15)
For storage, wind the mains cable (29) around the
cable holder (30) provided. Push stick holders (28)
are provided for the push stick.
Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children. The
optimum storage temperature is between 5 and 30˚C.
Store the power tool in its original packaging.
Cover the power tool to protect it from dust or mois-
ture.
Store the operating manual with the power tool.
12. Electrical connection
m WARNING! Electric shock! There is a risk of in-
jury from electric shock!
A defective cable or plug can cause an electric shock.
Avoid touching earthed parts of the body to protect
yourself from electric shock.
m Operation is only allowed with a circuit breaker/
residual current device (RCD, max. residual current
30mA).
Insert the plug of the power cable into a socket of the
appropriate shape, voltage and frequency that com-
plies with the applicable regulations. Do not pull the
mains cable to pull the connector out of the socket.
The electrical motor installed is connected and
ready for operation. The connection complies
with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. The
customer's mains connection as well as the ex-
tension cable used must also comply with these
regulations.
• The product fulfils the requirements of EN 61000-
3-11 and is subject to special connection require-
ments. This means that use at any freely selectable
connection points is not permitted.
• The device can cause temporary voltage fluctua-
tions in unfavourable mains conditions.
• The product is only intended for use at connection
points that
a) do not exceed a maximum permissible mains
impedance "Z" (Zmax. = 0.367 Ω), or
b) have a mains constant current carrying capacity
of at least 100 A per phase.
• As the user, you are required to ensure that the
connection point at which you wish to operate the
product fulfils one of the requirements mentioned,
a) or b). If necessary, consult with your energy sup-
plier in this regard.
