and seek medical assistance as quickly as possible.
Protect the injured person from further harm and

should always be available at the workplace in the
event of an accident.
Any material taken from the first aid kit must be re-

Keep the noise level and vibration to a minimum!
• Only use faultless devices.
• Maintain and clean the device at regular intervals.
• Adapt your working methods to the device.
• Do not overload the device.
• Have the device checked if necessary.
• Switch the device off if it is not in use.
7. Before commissioning
Before each use, always check:
• On/off switch incl. emergency stop switch (if pres-
ent) for proper function
• Interlocked guards (Fig. 1a - Pos. 3) by succes-
sive opening of each guard to switch off the ma-
chine and by checking that it is impossible to
switch on the machine with a guard open
• Brake
when starting work, switch on the machine and let
it come up to speed. Now switch the machine off
again. The engine must stop within 10 seconds.
Otherwise, there is a defect.
• Anti-kickback claws (Fig. 4 - Pos. 25)
at least once per work shift by inspection to check
that they are in good working condition, e.g. have
no damage to the contact surface from impact and
that the anti-kickback claws (25) fall back unhin-
dered by their own weight;
• Planer blade (Fig. 13 - Pos. 24)
must be checked for damage and correct fit.
The machine may only be used if all these condi-
tions are met.
Use only saw blades that are well sharpened and
maintained. Only use blades designed for the ma-
chine.
Use wooden push blocks or push sticks that are not
defective when machining short workpieces.
Connect the machine to a dust or chippings extrac-
tion system.
Check that the stop is firmly clamped in place before
you start machining.
Ensure that you can keep your balance at all times.
Stand to the side of the machine.
Keep your hands at a safe distance from the cutting
roller and from the point where the chips are ejected
when the machine is running.
Do not start planing until the cutting roller has reached
its required speed.
