Securing the system against being switched on again
1. Shut down the goods issuing system, disconnect it from the power supply and
check that it is electrically dead.
2. Secure the hazard area around the goods issuing system, place clear warning
signs in position around the working area, and issue a prohibition against it be-
ing switched on again.
3. On completion of the work, reinstate the fuses and guards.
4. Check the guards and safety devices for correct operation, and remove the warn-
ing notice.

Transport, place of erection and storage

Immediately on receipt check the product for damage in transport. If the product is
damaged, do not install or commission it.
WARNING
Suspended loads
Risk of fatal accidents, together with crush hazards, laceration hazards and impact
hazards for the body and limbs.

Transport work must be performed by trained persons who have been instructed
in the safety aspects of hoists and transport work.
»
Use only tested means of transport, lifting gear and slings that are suitable for the
weight and size of the item to be transported.
»
Do not enter under suspended loads or reach under them or into their range of
swinging.
»
Be aware of the position of the centre of gravity of the device.
»
Do not run lifting gear such as ropes and straps across sharp edges and corners.
Do not knot them, do not twist them.
»
Check that the attachment of the lifting gear is secure.
»
Move loads only under proper supervision. Before you leave the workplace, first
set down the load.

Remove the transport packaging after the equipment has arrived at its final place of
erection.

ü Suitable place of erection selected with sufficient load-bearing capacity of the
floor.
ü Forklift truck or pallet truck rated for the weight of the item of packaging.
1. Drive the forklift truck forwards so that the forks enter under the cross beams of
the pallet until they project beyond the far side.

Be aware of the position of the centre of gravity of the item of packaging.
2. Lift the pallet together with the goods issuing system, transport it and put it
down securely on arrival at the final place of erection.
