6.3.2 Switching On and Off
WARNING
Risk of death due to lack of brake functionality. The
brake release lever must be locked when using the power
wheelchair. The automatic brakes must be operational and
functional.
CAUTION
Risk of accidents due to incorrect tyre pressure. Visually
inspect the tyres of the power wheelchair for sufficient
tread depth and sufficient tyre pressure before each use.
Incorrect tyre pressure reduces the life of the tyres and
impairs the driving characteristics.
The control unit of the power wheelchair is switched on and
off by pressing the on / off button (see Fig. 15, Item 5). If the
control is not used for a certain time, which is adjustable,
the power wheelchair is switched off automatically. It is also
possible to switch off the power wheelchair with the on / off
button during driving. In this case, the wheelchair brakes
immediately until it stops.
