5.1

Folding the Backrest down

Proceed as follows to fold down the backrest:
1. Remove the side panels (see Section 6.1.2).
2. Pull the release strap to the rear.
3. With your hand, fold the backrest down onto the seat
surface.

Folding down the backrest with electric or mechanical back
angle adjustment:
1. Remove the side panels (see Section 6.1.2).
2. Release the cross bolt at the lower end of the drive unit
by pushing the lever up (see Section 4.3 "Initial Opera-
tion", Fig. 4).
3. Remove the cross bolt from the holder.
4. With your hand, fold the backrest down onto the seat
surface.
