Operation
n Battery replacement or changing the battery installa-
tion position may only be completed by a specialist
dealer.
n Replacement batteries must always be of the same
type (Ah & V).
n The charging profile of the battery charger established
at the factory corresponds to the battery included in
the scope of delivery and may not be altered inde-
pendently.
CAUTION
Risk of injury during tasks that involve lifting. The weight
of a battery is approximately 20 kg. Use hoisting devices of
sufficient capacity to remove or install the batteries or carry
out these tasks with the aid of an assistant.
NOTICE
Risk of property damage due to improper maintenance
work on the batteries. All maintenance work as well as
battery replacement may only be carried out by authorised
specialist staff.
The standard version of the C2000 power wheelchair is
equipped with two maintenance-free 12 V gel batteries with
a capacity of 79 Ah. As an option – which is not possible

with the heavy-duty version –, 12 V gel batteries with a ca-
pacity of 110 Ah can be installed. The batteries are located
under the seat of the power wheelchair.

6.6.1 Charging

WARNING
Risk of injury due to explosive gases. Explosive gases can
develop while the batteries are charging. The following safety
instructions must be followed under all circumstances:
n Ensure sufficient ventilation when charging the batter-
ies in closed rooms.
n Smoking and fire are not permitted.
n Sparks must be avoided.
n Do not cover the air vents in the trim.
NOTICE
Battery damage due to deep discharge. Extended oper-
ation with low battery capacity results in deep discharge of
the battery, causing damage. There is a risk that the power
wheelchair may stop due to zero battery capacity and
bring the user into a dangerous situation.
