4. Tap the element lightly to remove most
of the dust and dirt; then blow out the
remaining dirt w i t h c o m p r e s s e d air
through the inner surface of the ele-
ment. Be careful not to get oil or water
on the filter paper. If element is wet, ex-
cessively dirty or d a m a g e d , replace.
5. R e a s s e m b l e by reversing the removal
procedure. C h e c k w h e t h e r the element
is seated completely against the case.
