should I cruise at ? " . The B R E A K - I N section
provides limitations w h e n the motorcycle is
new, but o n c e the engine has been broken in,
then w e suggest that you follow these guide
lines.
For sustained load and throttle c o n -
ditions, such as those encountered on open
highways, cruise at 3 / 4 throttle or at 3 / 4 of
the r.p.m. " r e d line", w h i c h e v e r c o m e s first.
A l w a y s bear in m i n d , though, the m a x i m u m
allowable speed limit for the area through
w h i c h you are riding. This is a r e c o m m e n d a -
tion,
not
a
" h a r d
and
f a s t "
rule.
A n y
modification or personalization of the running
gear could possibly c h a n g e the
operating
ränge most comfortable and most efficient
for the engine.
