G e a r s h i f t i n g
The gear rations of the constant mech 6
speed transmission are ideally spaced. The
gears can be shifted by using the change
pedal on the left side of the engine. Refer to
the illustration for the gear shifting pattern.
S t a r t e r lever ( c h o k e lever)
W h e n cold the engine requires a richer fuel
mixture for starting. A separate Starter cir-
cuit, w h i c h is controlled by the Starter lever,
supplies this mixture.
Push the lever d o w n to open the circuit (for
starting) and pull it up to close the circuit.
