Fuel petcock
The fuel p e t c o c k s function to supply fuel from
the tank to the carburetor and also to filter
the fuel.
The fuel petcock has the following three posi-
tions;
O F F : W i t h the lever in this position fuel will
not flow. Return the lever to this posi-
tion w h e n the engine is not running.
O N : W i t h the lever in this position fuel
f l o w s to the carburetor. Normal driv-
ing is done w i t h the lever in this posi-
tion.
R E S : This indicates reserve. If you run out
of fuel while driving, move the lever to
this position. Then, fill the tank at the
first opportunity.
