4. Loosen the adjust bolt locknuts on each
side. To tighten chain turn chain puller
adjusting bolts c l o c k w i s e and pull w h e e l
b a c k w a r d . To loosen chain turn adjust
bolts c o u n t e r c l o c k w i s e and push w h e e l
forward. Turn e a c h bolt exactly the
s a m e amount to maintain correct axle
alignment (There are marks on e a c h side
of rear arm and on e a c h chain puller;
u s e t h e m t o c h e c k f o r p r o p e r
alignment).
N O T E :
Before adjusting, rotate rear w h e e l
through several revolutions and check
tension several t i m e s to find the tightest
point. Adjust chain tension w i t h rear
w h e e l in this "tight c h a i n " position.
