ETTING THE
Function of the Two-Speed Transmission
Two pinions with a different number of teeth are tightly screwed onto the clutch bell. The two main pinions on the centrifu-
gal clutch are connected with each other via a one-way bearing. The transmission in the first rate of speed is set to 1:
4.71 by the manufacturer (66 teeth on the drive section/14 teeth on the clutch bell), in the second rate of speed 1:3.21 (61
teeth on the drive section/19 teeth on the clutch bell). The shift point depends on the revolutions.
In the first rate of speed the engine speed is transmitted from the smaller pinion on the clutch bell to the larger gear on the
drive section, while the gear for the second rate of speed runs idle.
At high speeds the centrifugal force causes the lever of the centrifugal clutch to be pulled outward against a spring resist-
ance and engage the attachment on the gear for the second rate of speed. The engine speed is now transmitted via the
larger pinion of the clutch bell to the smaller gear in the drive section, while the gear for the first rate of speed is running via
the one-way bearing.
The spring resistance of the centrifugal clutch, and with it the switch point, can be adjusted with a headless screw
(2 mm Allen screw).
-
Put down the model so that the wheels can turn freely.
-
Turn the main pinions on the two-speed transmission until the
clearance in the cover of the two-speed transmission is visible.
You can access the headless screw from the left.
Inserting the screw
-
Spring preload is increased.
Higher revolutions are necessary for the attachment to engage.
The transmission switches later.
-
Taking out the screw
-
Spring preload is decreased.
Lower revolutions are necessary for the attachment to engage.
-
The transmission switches earlier.
If you are a beginner and are facing problems with the driving speed, we recommend that you postpone the
switch point until the model does not switch into second gear at all.

ETTING THE
IFFERENTIALS
The differentials of the MAMMOTH Pro are filled with grease. The viscosity of the grease leads to a lock of the differential
which is suitable for most terrains and conditions. By exchanging the grease against highly viscose silicone differential oil the
locking effect can be modified. The higher the viscosity, the greater the locking effect.
-
If the model swerves in bends when loaded, you can loosen the rear differential or lock the front differential.
-
If the model understeers when loaded, lock the rear differential or loosen the front differential.
You can choose between silicone oil with a viscosity of XR 1,000 (small locking effect) to XR 50,000 (great
locking effect).
NOTE! We only recommend exchanging the transmission grease to experienced users who know their
model and have adequate technical skills for taking out and disassembling the differentials.

IN OF THE
To set the toe-in of the rear wheels the toe-in block has to be exchanged.
-
To do this, first screw off the rear bumper and
-
then pull the E-rings from the axles of the lower transverse links.
If you exchange the toe-in block with another one with a greater hole distance, the
transverse links are no longer parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, but at an
angle. The alignment angle of the rear wheels changes accordingly.
