the valve, and the pot will lose liquid. The complete loss of liquid will
cause the food to burn and can cause damage to the pot and stove.
2. Intended Use
• Fissler pressure cookers are designed for cooking food under pressure
in a private household and for the intended uses listed in chapter 5.
• Fissler pressure cookers can only be used on stoves up to a maximum
power of 3700 watts.
• The filling quantities listed in chapter 4 must be observed to ensure safe
use of the pressure cooker.
3. Before Initial Use
Before using the pot for the first time, familiarize yourself with the pot
and correct use, and check that all components have been included
(see Fig.
A). The insert is not always included.
Opening the Pot
(Fig. C)
Press the control button
(Fig. A-7)
the arrow. Turn the lid counterclockwise (to the right) as far as it will go.
Remove the lid.
Closing the Pot
(Fig. D+E)
Using the lid positioning aid (metal tab with "Close" imprint
on the lid while holding it at a slight angle. Insert the lid positioning aid into
the groove on the pot handle and then lower it
clockwise as far as it will go (to the left);
an audible "click," and the locking indicator will change from red to green
(Fig.
A-8).
Locking Indicator
(Fig. A-8, Fig. F)
Green: The pot is closed properly and is ready for use.
Red: The pot is not closed properly.
Cleaning
Wash the pot, lid, and sealing ring thoroughly by hand before using them
for the first time in order to remove any polishing dust or small impurities.
Recommendation: Treat the pot and lid with a stainless steel care product

(Fig.
D). Close it by turning it
(see Fig.
E). The pot will lock with
after washing them. This makes stainless steel more resistant to salts and
acidic foods. Be sure to completely wash off the care products' residue.
Repeat the treatment as required or when the stainless steel surface
shows visible wear.
4. Instructions for Use
Safety Features
Before each use, check the functionality of the safety features mentioned
below and never tamper with them. Make sure that the pressure regulator
and lid handle are properly mounted and firmly secured before using them
for cooking. You will find instructions on this process in chapter 7.
Pressure regulator
(Fig. A-3, Fig. G)
Remove the pressure regulator from the lid and set it to level 3. Check that
the cooking indicator (1) and valve body (2) move freely and spring back
by applying pressure with your finger.
Euromatic
(Fig. A-21)
Make sure that the Euromatic sits properly and moves freely in the lid
(Fig.
H). The O-ring seal must lie entirely in its designated notch
Check whether the ball in the Euromatic moves freely and springs back by
applying pressure with your finger
Sealing ring
(Fig. A-23)
and safety cam
Check that the sealing ring and lid rim are clean, the sealing ring is
undamaged, and the safety cam (1) moves freely.
Insert the sealing ring so that it lies completely flat and below the inwardly
curved edge segments (2) against the inside of the lid. The sealing ring
must be in front of the safety cam, i.e., pressed away from the edge of the
lid.
Filling Quantities
(Fig. L)
Always cook with enough liquid, and make sure that the liquid
in the pressure cooker does not evaporate completely.
Please note the following information on filling quantities for pressure
cooking. For easy measuring, there is an internal measuring scale in
the pot.

(Fig.
