• Close the valve for gas adjustment (turning the handwheel clockwise).
When closing don´t use excessive torque.
7.2. CONNECTION & USE OF OUTLET
To be connected to the fl ow outlet:
Humidifi er, breathing mask or cannula.

Before connecting any associated equipment or medical device to the
medical device, always check that it is fully compatible with the medical
device connection features & the medical device performances and there is
no negative infl uence to the outlet parameters of the medical device.
FLOW OUTLET CONNECTION
When connecting equipment or medical device to the fl ow outlet make sure
that it is not connected to the patient before operating the medical device.
• Ensure the hose/humidifi er is compatible with the fl ow outlet feature.
• Push the hose onto the Tube fl owmeter fl ow outlet/screw onto the
humidifi er.
• Ensure the hose/humidifi er is well engages.
FLOW SETTING
• Connect the Tube fl owmeter to the source of medical gas.
• Set requested medical gas fl ow by the handwheel (turning anticlockwise
the fl ow increase, turning clockwise the fl ow decrease).
Do not apply an excessive torque on the fl ow control knob when it reached
the end (stop) position.
Only the end user and Healthcare pro esional is accountable for the method
of use for a specifi c patient and in the assessment of fl ow value.
Fluctuating inlet pressure and ambient temperature can have an infl uence
on the accuracy of fl ow measurement.
7.3. AFTER USE
• Before disconnecting Tube fl owmeter from the medical pipe line system
terminal unit or medical regulator, close the valve for fl ow regulation
(turning the handwheel clockwise). When closing don´t use an excessive
torque (max. recommended closing torque is 0,4 Nm).
• Remove connected equipment or medical device from user outlet of the
Tube Flowmeter.
• Disconnect Tube fl owmeter from the medical gas pipeline system terminal
units or medical regulator.
