In case of storage at a temperature below -20 °C, do not operate the
medical device until it has been allowed to increase its temperature to a
minimum of -20 °C.
4. PERSONNEL INSTRUCTIONS
The medical device provider must ensure that all personnel handling the
medical device are provided with the operating instructions & performance
data. The intended user is any person who has read and understood the
instructions for use and is able to operate the device correctly.
Do not use the medical device without proper familiarization of the medical
device and its safe operation as defi ned in this Instructions for use.
Be aware of particular information and knowledge required for the gas
in use. In case of doubt, contact the manufacturer.
5. MEDICAL DEVICE DESCRIPTION
Gas from the medical gas pipeline system is entering through the inlet
connector (A). Flow is then adjusted to the requested value by turning
handwheel (B), which controls the valve for fl ow regulation. The adjusted
fl ow is visible on the calibrated tube via the fl oat (C). Gas fl ows through
the tube, when constant fl ow is adjusted, the fl oat is stabilized in a certain
position (a certain fl ow on the scale). Gas is delivered to the user through the
fl ow outlet user connection (D).
A. INLET QUICK CONNECTOR
The Tube fl owmeter is fi tted to the medical
gas pipeline system terminal unit or to medical
regulator by a gas specifi c male probe for
specifi c gas. There are two basic variants:
1 – inlet connector is directly mounted on the
Tube Flowmeter,
2 – connection to the rail, including hose and
inlet connector.
B. HANDWHEEL
Flow is then adjusted to the requested value by
turning handwheel (B), which controls the valve
for fl ow regulation.
