LYWHEEL
The flywheel is fitted on the crankshaft on the opposite
side to the alternator; the clutch is housed inside it.
Disassembly:
E
• Remove the engine unit from the motorbike following
the instructions described in chapter 2 in this section.
• Remove the clutch, as described in chapter 6 in this
section;
• Position the locking tool "A" (code 12 91 18 01) on the
flywheel"C" as illustrated in the figure;

• Unscrew the 6 screws "B" fastening the flywheel to the
crankshaft;
• Remove the flywheel "C".
N.B.
Screws "B" must be replaced with new ones upon
the following reassembly, due to the high load
and stresses they are subject to; (apply thread
locking product, Loctite, medium strength, to the
D
screws and tighten to torques of Nm 40 ÷ 42).
Reassembly:
• Carry out the procedures in reverse order.
N.B.
When reassembling the flywheel on the
crankshaft, make sure that the position reference
marks shown in the picture match (the marking
"D" on the engine flywheel shall be lined up with
the marking "E" on the crankshaft).
