6.10 Lubricating oil supply maintenance
6.10.1 Changing lubricating oil

1. Exit all open applications.
2. Shut down the PC via the Windows operating
system.
3. Switch off the EPS 708 via the master switch.
4. Remove the bottom left cover from the back of the
EPS 708.
5. Unscrew the two hoses (fig. 26, pos. 2) on the
lubricating oil tank (fig. 26, pos. 4).
6. Drain the lubricating oil in the hoses into a
container.

Hold the lubricating oil tank firmly to ensure that it
does not fall when the Allen screws are removed.

7. Using an Allen key, unscrew the two hoses (fig. 26,
pos. 1) on the mounting frame (fig. 26, pos. 3) from
the lubricating oil tank.
8. Place the lubricating oil tank on the base of the
mounting frame and turn until the drain plug of the
lubricating oil tank points to the front.
9. Place a container for waste oil on the floor in front
of the lubricating oil tank.

10. Remove the drain plug (fig. 27, pos. 1) using the
Allen key.
 Drain lubricating oil from the tank.
11. Next, tilt the lubricating oil tank slightly to allow all
the oil to drain.
12. Fasten the drain plug to the lubricating oil tank once
more using the Allen key.
13. With the two Allen screws (fig. 26, pos. 1), secure
the lubricating oil tank to the mounting frame.
