CMD
4. Connect the digital input and/or digital outputs, e.g.
with a PLC (see Section 8.2.4);
connector socket 1-CON-S1002 (optional).
5. Install the software for setting the parameters (see
Section 8.3).
8.1
Behavior of the CMD when switching
on
When the CMD is switched on, the output voltage is
-10 V and both the digital outputs have logic status 0
(inactive).
Approx. 300 ms are needed for switching on. Then all the
outputs are stable. The time required increases to 13 s if
the SensorTeach input is active when switching on (see
Chapter 12, "Updating the firmware").
Residual charges may remain at the input capacitor after
the startup phase, which can result in a voltage signal at
the signal output. The Reset/Measure process clears
them and defines and sets the signal output to zero.
8.2
Electrical connection
The charge input is protected against static discharge
(ground insulation) and can have a maximum potential
difference of 10 V (related to the output or supply volt
age).
