Tips for piezoelectric measurement technology
Required materials:
S CFW force washer with centering sleeve (included in
the scope of supply)
S CPS pre-stressing set
S Charge cable
S Charge amplifier
S Connection cable to the PC
S PC with Ethernet interface, CMD assistant running
under Windows XP/Vista/7/8
Calibration of the measuring chain
Calibration always takes place once the sensor is fitted.
This means that nothing about the mechanical mounting
conditions should be changed after the calibration pro­
cess.
S Fit the sensor as specified in this operating manual.
S Apply pre-stress. 10% of the measuring range is the
minimum. The ideal pre-stress is designed to operate
the washer at 50% of its nominal (rated) force.
The pre-stress can be measured with the washer
itself, and to do this, adjust the washer sensitivity in
accordance with the manufacturing certificate inclu­
ded with the CFW. Use the CMD Assistant for this
(menu item : "Sensor sensitivity" in pC/N).
S Mount the sensor with the pre-stress device..
S Set up the CMD for pC measurement:
- Connect the CMD to a PC.
- Set the sensitivity to 1. The amplifier measures the
charge in pC.
