You can read out the firmware being used in the CMD
with a connected device with the CMD Assistant via the
Device -> Identification -> Firmware Version menu.
Should new or improved functions make it necessary to
load a new firmware version, you can always go to the
http://www.hbm.com/downloadsand download the current
firmware version.
Important
Starting from firmware version 3.60, the CMD firmware
update procedure has been fundamentally changed and
improved. So there are two different update procedures.
If you would like to use the new procedure with an older
device (firmware versions up to 3.51), you will have to
send your device to HBM Service for one‐off modifica­
tion.
The device settings remain unchanged in both cases
when updating the firmware (Update). However, we rec­
ommend that all settings be saved to the PC via the
CMD Assistant before updating.
12.1 Updating the firmware (new procedure
from Version 3.60)
This procedure can only be applied in CMD devices from
firmware version 3.60.
