base of a stainless steel roaster.These changes to the stainless steel cannot be removed, but they do not affect
the performance.
• Base: You can use your roaster on all conventional electric or gas stoves.The base is level with your cooktop
and offers top-class cooking characteristics.When you cook, your roaster heats up quickly, distributes the heat
evenly over the base, and retains it well. If you have a roaster with a cookstar all-stove base or if the word‚
Induction' is embossed in the base stamp, you can use it on all types of stove, including induction stoves.
• Induction cooktop: In order to prevent the cookware from overheating as a result of the high power of induction
stoves, please observe the instructions for use issued by the stove manufacturer. Never heat the roaster
unattended, when it is empty, or at the highest setting. A humming sound may be emitted when it is in use.
This sound has a technical cause and does not indicate that either your stove or your cookware is defective.
The cookware must always be placed centrally on the burner.The roaster size should always be the same as or
larger than that of the cooktop (see table), otherwise there is a possibility that the cooktop will not heat the
roaster base fully.

• Glass ceramic cooking surface: To prevent scratches on a glass ceramic cooking surface, always lift your roaster
before changing its position on the cooking surface. Fissler is not liable for damage which could otherwise result.
Information for sealed roasters
• Before using the roaster (and accessories) for the first time, wash it thoroughly, then boil water in it for two
minutes.
• When using it again: Smear the roaster with a little fat/oil (apply 3-4 drops to a paper towel).
• If the roaster has a non-stick coating, never cut anything in it with a knife and never use sharp objects in it.
• Always use cooking spoons and turners made of wood, silicone or plastic.We recommend the
Fissler „comfort" turner.
• To prevent overheating, never heat the sealed roaster unattended or at the highest heat setting. Always use the
medium setting to heat it.
