10.3.2 Measuring characteristic configuration (sNuc)

The LLB-500(F) can be adapted to the requirements of different applications with measuring modes
for various reasons. The customization of measuring speed and measuring precision is made by
selection of the suitable measuring mode.
With the factory defaults the LLB-500(F) has at 2 σ a precision of ± 1 mm for LLB500-00600 and
LLB500-00610 or ± 3 mm at LLB500-00601 and LLB500-00611. The environmental conditions, such
as target surface, distance, environment illumination, influence the measuring speed. Good
environmental conditions (e.g. white targets or orange reflection panel at a dark environment) increase
the measuring speed.

Moving target characteristic with error freezing.
Every error will be preserved. For an error reset, the
measurement must be restarted according to the configured
operation mode. See 5.4.3 "Error behavior" on page 109.
Moving target characteristic without error freezing.
Distance jumps or unfavorable signal conditions may cause a
temporary or permanent error.
- Temporary error: As soon as the LLB is able to determine a
new distance value, the error will disappear and the output will
show the new distance value. The shortest possible time to
display an error between 4 and 5 ms.
- Permanent error: The LLB is not able to determine a distance
anymore. The error will be shown with an output rate of up to
250 Hz. For an error reset, the measurement must be
restarted according to the configured operation mode.
