To prevent the foods from sticking to the blades, the blender jug and the lid, we
recommend proceeding as follows after every use:
•
Rinse the blender jug and the lid with water to remove most of the food
remains.
•
Pour 500 ml of warm water into the blender jug, place it on the motor base and
put lid incl. measuring cap onto the jug. Press the AUTO CLEAN button. Should
the foods firmly cling on, add half a teaspoon of washing-up liquid.
•
After that, rinse the blender jug and lid again with warm water or clean both in
warm dishwater with a soft cloth or a bottle brush.
•
When blender jug, lid and measuring cap are clean, dry everything carefully.

The blender jug and the lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher in a standard cycle.
Place the blender jug in the lower compartment, lid and measuring cap should
be rinsed in the upper compartment of the dishwasher.
D I S I N F E C T I O N
To disinfect the blender jug and the blades we recommend preparing a disinfection
solution, made from 1
2 liters (8 cups) of clear, cold tap water, mixed together as described on the house-
hold bleach packaging. Then, disinfect as follows:
1. After the cleaning cycle with the AUTO CLEAN function as described in the pre-
vious section, pour half of the disinfection solution (approx. 1 liter) into the
blender jug. Close the blender jug with the lid and the measuring cap and press
the function button AUTO CLEAN again to disinfect.
2. Let the solution act on the blender jug for 1 minute, then empty the blender jug.
3. Place the lid, the measuring cap and, if used, the tamper and the plastic spat-
ula in the remaining second half of the solution for 2 minutes.
4. Place the empty blender jug with closed lid and measuring cap on the base and
activate the appliance for 10 – 20 seconds, using the speed setting MIX, to
remove any excess moisture from the blade area.
5. Wipe the outer side of the lid, the jug and the motor base with a cloth soaked
in disinfection solution and then wrung out.
6. Do not rinse after disinfection. Let the appliance air-dry before storing it. Before
using it again, you should briefly rinse blender jug and lid in clean water.
