reduce the effectiveness of the safety measures and
increase risks for the operator.

DANGER
Risk of explosion!
Never operate the product in rooms with highly flamma-
ble substances.
• The product must be secured against tipping and slip-

• Repair and adjustment work may only be carried out
by authorised specialist personnel.
• Do not touch any mechanically moving or hot parts.
Do not remove any protective covers.
• Values specified in the technical data under sound
power level (L
) and sound pressure level (L
WA
resent emission levels and are not necessarily safe
working levels.
• Since there is a correlation between emission and ex-
posure levels, it cannot be reliably used to determine
any additional precautionary measures that may be
required. Factors influencing the current exposure lev-
el of the worker include the characteristics of the
workspace, other noise sources, etc., such as the
number of units in use and other adjacent processes
and the length of time an operator is exposed to the
noise. The permitted exposure level may also vary
from country to country. Nevertheless, this information
will enable the operator of the product to make a bet-
ter assessment of the risks and hazards.
• Ensure that the ventilation slots are not covered.
• Always keep the product clean, dry and free from oil
or grease. Remove dust after each use and before
storage.
• Ensure that the silencer and air filter are working prop-
erly. These parts serve as flame protection in the
event of a misfire.
ATTENTION
Do not move the choke lever to the "closed" position to
stop the engine. This can lead to a misfire or engine
damage.

measures
Neglect of ergonomic principles
Negligent use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

ment may result in serious injury.
• Wear prescribed protective equipment.
Human behaviour, misconduct
• Always concentrate fully on all work.
Residual danger
• Can never be ruled out
Danger from noise
Hearing damage
Prolonged unprotected work with the product may cause
hearing damage.
• Always wear hearing protection as a matter of princi-
ple.
Behaviour in an emergency
In the event of an accident, initiate the necessary first aid
measures and seek medical assistance as quickly as pos-

WARNING
Improper maintenance or failure to observe or correct a
problem can become a source of danger during opera-

products. This is the only way you can be sure that you
are operating your product safely, economically and
trouble-free!
Residual risks
) rep-
PA
The product has been built according to state-of-the-
art and the recognised technical safety rules.
However, individual residual risks can arise during
operation.
• Furthermore, despite all precautions having been met,
some non-obvious residual risks may still remain.
• Residual risks can be minimised if the "Safety Instruc-
tions" and the "Intended Use" together with the oper-
ating manual as a whole are observed.
• Prevent the product being unintentionally started up.
• Keep your hands away from the working area when
the product is in operation.
• Unintentional starting up of the product.
• Comply with the stipulated maintenance and safety in-
structions in the operating instructions.
WARNING
In case of extended working periods, the operating per-
sonnel may suffer circulatory disturbances in their
hands (vibration white finger) due to vibrations.
Raynaud's syndrome is a vascular disease that causes
the small blood vessels on the fingers and toes to
cramp in spasms. The affected areas are no longer
supplied with sufficient blood and therefore appear ex-
tremely pale. The frequent use of vibrating products can
cause nerve damage in people whose circulation is im-
paired (e.g. smokers, diabetics).
If you notice unusual adverse effects, stop working im-
mediately and seek medical advice.
