4. Hold the new Knee Cup System face-down
in the palm of your hand and position the
knee brace over, feed the upper and lower
fixation straps though the rectangular slots
and close them.
5. Fit the Knee Cup System (5) hinge hook
pads onto the Inner Hinge Covers.
Carefully reinstall the Hinge Padding (12)
and Frame Padding (10 & 13) following the
reinstallation steps in Section 4.
5.3. RK-10 HINGE COVER AND STICKER REPLACEMENT KIT
The RK-10 Hinge Cover and Sticker Replacement Kit includes four Hinge Covers, four resin
stickers and eight new Hinge Cover screws.
1. Using a flat-head screwdriver, carefully lift
the resin sticker from the Outer Hinge Cover.
2. Remove the two screws shown in fig 2 to
release the Hinge Cover.
3. Carefully align the new Hinge Cover with
the two fixation holes, insert and fasten the
new screws provided with the replacement
Hinge Cover. Refer to the correct orientation
of the Hinge Cover in Fig 1 below.
4. Remove the backing from the replacement
resin sticker and attach it to the Outer Hinge
Cover ensuring the logo on the resin sticker
is facing upwards towards the top of the
knee brace.
Repeat steps 1 - 4 for the other Hinge Covers.

consistently refer to the instructions provided by Alpinestars within this protector's
User Manual. Any uncertainty regarding compatibility or proper installation should
be promptly addressed by contacting Alpinestars directly or seeking assistance from
an authorized Alpinestars' dealer. Alpinestars disclaims any liability for damages or
injuries resulting from the improper selection or installation of optional parts. Users
are encouraged to exercise caution and diligence in maintaining and servicing their
equipment in accordance with Alpinestars' guidelines.
Important note: Always ensure the knee brace and associated parts are cleaned
properly before attaching any Optional Parts. (Please refer to the Care and Storage
section of this manual).
6.1. RK-10 & 7 HINGE GUARD SET
The RK-10 & 7 Hinge Guard Set includes two
Hinge Guards; one for the inner left hinge and
one for the inner right hinge.
1. Open the hook & loop straps and feed them
through the openings above and below the
Knee Cup System.
2. Ensure the Hinge Guard is centrally located
over the hinge mechanism before tightening
the straps.
