The user assumes full responsibility for ensuring compatibility when utilizing
Replacement Part Kits with the Supertech RK-10 Plasma Knee Brace. It is imperative
that users consistently refer to the instructions provided by Alpinestars within
this protector's User Manual. Any uncertainty regarding compatibility or proper
installation should be promptly addressed by contacting Alpinestars directly or
seeking assistance from an authorized Alpinestars' dealer. Alpinestars disclaims any
liability for damages or injuries resulting from the improper selection or installation
of Replacement Part Kits. Users are encouraged to exercise caution and diligence in
maintaining and servicing their equipment in accordance with Alpinestars' guidelines.
Important note: Always ensure the knee brace and associated parts are cleaned
properly before attaching any Replacement Parts. (Please refer to the Care and
Storage section of this manual).
5.1. RK-10 FRAME PADDING REPLACEMENT KIT
The RK-10 Frame Padding Replacement Kit
includes the Upper Frame, Lower Frame and
Patella Padding for both the left and right Knee
Braces.
1. Lift and carefully pull the Frame Padding (10
& 13) and Patella Padding (11 & 16) away from
the frame, starting from one point working
towards the opposite side.
2. Ensure the hook patches on the frame are
supported while lifting the Frame Padding to
prevent them detaching from the frame.
3. Before installing
Replacement Kit, inspect and clean the
frames. Then ensure the hook patches are still
properly attached to the frames.
4. When installing the new padding always
work from one side over to the other, firmly
pressing the padding down to ensure good
contact with the hook patches.
5. When completed, there should be more or
less an equidistant overhang of the padding
over the frame.
Users who have opted to utilize a custom build
up of Hinge Padding and hook and loop Hinge
Spacer Pads in Section 4.1, could also install the
provided pre-curved Frame Padding Spacers for
a better fitment of the Frame Padding near the
hinges of the knee brace.
5.2. RK-10 & 7 KNEE CUP SYSTEM REPLACEMENT KIT
The RK-10 & 7 Knee Cup System Replacement
Kit includes both the left and right side Knee
Cup Systems.
Carefully remove the Hinge Padding (12) and
Frame Padding (10 & 13) following the removal
steps in Section 4.
1. Lift the lower hook & loop Knee Cup
System fixation strap and pull it through
the rectangular slot in the the Lower Patella
Extension (16).
2. Repeat step 1 for the upper hook & loop Knee
Cup System fixation strap.
3. Lift the the Knee Cup System (5) hinge hook
pads from the inner hinge covers. The Knee
Cup System can now be removed.
