20 Troubleshooting
The model does not respond or responds incorrectly
In the case of 2.4 GHz remote controls, the receiver must be connected to the transmitter. This process is known

as "binding" or "pairing". Pairing is performed automatically each time the vehicle and remote control are switched
on. See section 16.
Release the throttle lever and the steering wheel on the transmitter. Only then turn on the speed controller on

the vehicle.
Is the vehicle drive battery or the transmitter batteries/rechargeable batteries empty? Replace the drive battery or

batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter with new ones or recharge the batteries.
The red "RX" LED on the transmitter flashes when the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter are
empty. When the speed controller measures a battery voltage <= 6.0 V, it powers off the vehicle's motor to prevent
deep discharge of the drive battery.
Is the vehicle too far away? With a fully charged drive battery and batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmit-

ter, a more than 80-metre range should be possible. However, the range can be reduced by outside influences,
such as interference on the radio frequency or the proximity of other transmitters (not only remote control transmit-
ters but also Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
etc.
The vehicle travels slowly or the steering servo does not respond properly to remote control commands; the
range between the transmitter and the vehicle is very short
The drive battery is low or empty.

The receiver and the steering servo are powered by the BEC of the integrated speed controller. As a result, the
receiver will not function properly when the drive battery is low or empty. Replace the drive battery with a fully
charged drive battery (the motor and the speed controller must be allowed to cool down for 5-10 minutes before
changing the battery).
Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.

The vehicle moves too slow
The "TH.RATE" knob (see fig. 1, pos. 9) allows you to set the maximum driving speed. A low maximum speed (turn

the knob counter-clockwise to the left) is ideal for beginners to familiarise themselves with the vehicle. To be able
to use the maximum driving speed, turn the knob clockwise all the way to the right.
The vehicle does not travel in a straight line
Use the "ST.TRIM" knob (fig. 1, pos. 11) to set the straight-ahead travel on the transmitter, as described in sec-

tion 12.5.
Check the steering linkage, the servo arm and the screw connection.

Did the vehicle have an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them if

necessary.
Check whether small stones, leaves, etc. impair the steering.

devices that also use a transmission frequency of 2.4 GHz), metal parts, buildings,
