14 Getting started
14.1 Removing the body
Pull out the locking clips on the top of the vehicle and lift off the body.
14.2 Configuring the transmitter
Put the "TH.RATE" (fig. 1, pos. 9) and "ST.TRIM" (fig. 1, pos. 11) knobs into the middle setting.
Turn the "ST.RATE" knob (fig. 1, pos. 10) clockwise as far as it will go.
Switch on the transmitter (insert 3 AA/Mignon batteries, if necessary, as described in section 12.1). The red "RX"
LED lights up and the green "TX" LED flashes.
14.3 Inserting the drive battery in the vehicle
Caution!
The drive battery must not yet be connected to the speed controller.
In order to prevent the wheels from unintentional turning and thus an uncontrolled movement of the model
(e.g. if the drive trim is adjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support so that the wheels can turn
freely in the event of a fault.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
Important!
This vehicle supports a LiPo drive battery with 2 cells (nominal voltage 7.4 V).
Using a drive battery with more cells can result in a fire hazard due to overheating, which may result in
the vehicle drive (e.g. differential) being overloaded and eventually damaged. This will void the warranty/
guarantee!
There is a battery holder for the drive battery on the left
side of the vehicle.
Loosen the hook-and-loop strap (A) on the battery holder.
Insert the drive battery (B) into the battery holder, close
the hook-and-loop holder so that the drive battery is se-
curely fastened.
The cables of the drive battery (C) point outward and are
fixed with the hook-and-loop strap, as shown in the figure,
so that they do not get into the drive or drag on the ground.
