Updating the firmware
To update the firmware, use the program QuantumX Firmware Update. The
program can be used to transfer a new firmware version to several modules
simultaneously.
Procedure
1. Download the latest update firmware files from the HBM website:
http://www.hbm.com/Download.
2. Copy the downloaded ZIP file into the directory specified in the Program
options under Path. In a standard installation, this is the directory
C:/Programs/HBM/QuantumX Firmware Update/Download.
Important
The ZIP file must not be extracted into this directory, copy the ZIP file without
changing it.
3. Start the QuantumX Firmware Update program.
4. Click on
(Search) in the Quick Access Toolbar and connect to the
QuantumX module(s) that need to be updated with the latest firmware.
5. Use the context menu in the Update column to mark the module(s) that
you want to update.
6. Select the version you want to transfer to the module(s) (New firmware
column). The latest version is always shown in first place.
7. Click on Start in the Ribbon and carry out the update.
The module must be restarted after the firmware has been updated. Wait for a
few seconds afterwards before connecting with the module(s) again.
