In
order to optimize this system,
a
conirol
strategy called
" A l f a / N
has
been adopted. The rnain inputs taken as reference by ihe system to
control injection and ignition are the ihronle opening angle
(Alb)
and
the rnotor
r.p.m.
(NI.
In
the
ceniral unii memory there are tables that
let
correspond an injection pulse time, an injection phase angle and
an ignition odvonce angle
to o
given r.p.m. and to o given
throttle
opening angle. The oiher system inpuis (water temperature, air
iemperaiure, pressure,
bonery
voltagel take part to the control
by
chonging thecorrection coefficientsopplied io thevolues provided
by
the "Alfa/N" tables. Then the system introduces further corrections in
the Operating conditions requiring particular ignition and feeding
features (ignition phase, quick opening or
closing
of the gas control).
