Once the e.sybox has restarted it is advisable to check that the expected firmware has been installed. To do this, check the firmware version
field "SW V." on "page VE" of the "User Menu". If any problems have occurred and the firmware has not been correctly installed, follow the
indications for solving the problems of the various procedures described.

13.2.1 Updating between one e.sybox and another

Updating between e.sybox units is possible only if one of them has a firmware version of 4.00 or more.
Updating can be carried out in 3 ways:
Manual: the Master must have a firmware version of 4.00 or higher. It is not necessary to associate the e.sybox.
Automatic: it is possibly only if both the e.sybox units to be updated have a firmware version of 4.00 or higher. It is necessary to associate the
e.sybox.
Semiautomatic: the Master must have a firmware version of 4.00 or higher and the Slave must have a firmware version lower than 4.00. It is
necessary to associate the e.sybox.

Manual updating

Requirements
– It is carried out between 2 e.sybox units at a time.
– The Master must have a firmware version of 4.00 or higher.
– The e.sybox used as a Slave can have any firmware version.
– The firmware version of the Master must be greater or the same as the version of the Slave.
– Association between devices is not necessary.
– If several e.sybox units have to be updated the procedure must be repeated each time.
Procedure
1.
Switch off the electric power supply to the e.sybox to be updated and wait for the display to switch off.
2.
Go to page FW on the TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE menu of the e.sybox you want to use as the Master and press the key [+].
3.
On the e.sybox to be updated, supply power by holding down simultaneously the [MODE] and [-] keys until the update screen appears.
4.
Wait for the update to be successfully completed and for both machines to restart.
Problem solving
– If the update has not been successful, repeat the procedure.

Automatic updating

– It is carried out between 2 e.sybox units at a time.
– The e.sybox used as the Master must have a firmware version of 4.00 or more.
– The e.sybox used as the Slave must have a firmware version of 4.00 or more.
– The firmware version of the Master must be greater or the same as the version of the Slave.
– It is necessary to have associated the devices with each other.
– If several e.sybox units have to be updated the procedure must be repeated each time.
Procedure

Associate the devices (see par. 9.5). A pop-up will appear on the display of both e.sybox units saying:
Association between different
firmware version
V x.y
Press + to update
2.
Press the [+] key on both machines.
3.
Wait for the update to be successfully completed and for both machines to restart.
Problem solving
If the update has not been successful, the machine that you were trying to update (Salve) goes into an inconsistent status which does not allow a
new automatic update. In this case the updating procedure must be performed manually.

Semiautomatic updating

– It is necessary to have associated the devices with each other.
If several e.sybox units have to be updated the procedure must be repeated each time.
