c) Checking the pre-installed mechanics

• Before you commission the model for the first time, you
need to check all screw fittings on the model.
• The attachment screws of the main and rear rotor blades
may only be tightened to such an extent that the rotor
blades can automatically align themselves in flight at
an exact 180° angle.
• All moving parts have to be easily movable but there
should not be a clearance in the bearing.
• Apply some oil on the main rotor shaft in the range of
the swash plate (1) and on the tail rotor shaft in the
range of the sliding sleeve (2).
d) Installing the flight battery
• The charged flight battery (1) is slid into the battery shaft
until it comes to rest on the stop in the rear (2); see
illustration. The correct center of gravity is exactly
maintained with this clearly defined battery position.
• If the clamp of the accumulator is not sufficient in the
shaft, and if there is a risk that the accumulator slips
during flight, secure the battery with Velcro tape in the
front (3). Alternative to Velcro tape, you can also apply
rubber rings.
• In each case, you have to make absolutely sure that
the battery can neither slip nor fall out.
