d) Checking the Aileron Linkage

First remove the servo extension cable (1) from the wing
aperture in the fuselage and connect it to the aileron servo's
(3) plug protected against polarity reversal (2).
Then take up operation of the transmitter and connect the
charged flight battery to the model. The trimming lever for
the engine function (see figure 2, item 11) must be in the
bottom-most position for this.
If the control stick for the elevator and aileron functions (see
fig 2, item 3) at the transmitter is moved to the right and left,
both ailerons (4) must deflect downwards and upwards.
If the control stick and trim slider for the aileron function are
in their central positions, both ailerons must form one level
with the wing. The aileron must not be angled slightly to the
top or bottom. The servo lever (5) at the aileron servo must
be at a 90° angle to the two linkage rods (6). If this is not the
case, remove the fastening screw of the servo lever (7), lift
the servo lever off and screw it on again in the correct
position.
Slight slant of the ailerons can be corrected by adjusting the
linkage length. For this, the clevises (8) are removed from
the aileron laces, twisted in the required direction and then
attached again. The process may have to be repeated
several times until the correct linkage length is set.
