• Put the trim slider for the nod function (see ill. 1, pos. 7)
and the trim slider for the roll function (see ill. 1, pos. 6)
into the central position.
• When you now move the control stick for the pitch
function (see ill. 1, pos. 11) back and forth, the swash
plate (1) must slide up and down on the main rotor shaft
and always be parallel to the top chassis edge (2).
If this is not the case, check the position of the dip
switches on the back of the transmitter.
For further information, refer to the section "Changing
the control direction".
• Compensate a slight slanting of the swash plate by changing the length of the link rods. To do so, carefully pull the
top ball head ears of the link (3) off the ball on the swash plate. By twisting, you adjust the length of the rods to the
required measure and afterwards reattach the ball head ear.
Important notice!
Please note that the front servo (seen in flight direction) is mounted a bit lower in the chassis; therefore,
the link rods must be approx. 2 mm longer than the two rear rods.
• Because the drive engine was previously separated from the speed adjuster, you can now operate the switch for
aerobic/inverted flight (see ill. 1, pos. 4) without any danger.
If the control stick for the pitch function is in the lowest position, you will notice that the rotor blades have a much
larger negative angle of incidence than in normal flight. Additionally, the speed controller would let the drive engine
run at full power in this switch position (if it were connected).
• Next the paddles (1) of the auxiliary rotor are checked.
Not only must the paddles have the same distance (A)
to the control levers (2), but they must also be absolutely
parallel to each other.
• To check the paddles are positioned correctly towards
each other, look at the rotor head from the side (see
inset diagram).
• After loosening the grub screws on the paddle, you can
make the necessary fine adjustments.
• After completing the adjustments, reconnect the engine
to the speed counter.
Now your model is ready for its first test flight.
