15. Troubleshooting

Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the latest available technology, there can still be
malfunctions or faults. This is why we would like to show you how to remove possible faults.
Problem
Transmitter doesn't respond.
The transmitter turns off straight away
of after a short while.
The system only has a low range.
The model doesn't respond
The rotors do not start and the LED
on the receiver/control unit blinks
constantly.
The helicopter shows strong vibrations
during flight
The helicopter constantly tends to fly
into one direction.
The helicopter constantly rotates
around the vertical axis or turns out of
direction in hover flight.

Remedy
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter.
• Check polarity of batteries or rechargeable batteries.
• Check function switch on the transmitter.
• Check marking on crystals.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter or replace
them.
• Pull out transmitter antenna to its full length.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter and model.
• Check receiver antenna for damages and electrical continuity.
• Check battery of model
• Check marking on crystals.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Slide the control stick for the pitch function to the bottom position
(engine off) and additionally slide the trim slider for the pitch function
into the bottom position. Then connect the accumulator and check
the function of the helicopter.
• Rotor blades too tight or too loose.
• The main rotor shaft is bent after the rotating rotor blades have touched
the ground.
• Control rod bent.
• Trim lever on the transmitter in wrong position.
• Swash plate position is tilted.
• Servo lever is not at a 90° angle to the servo.
• Check the gyro sensitivity or readjust it.
• Check easy running of the two rotors (main rotor shaft).
• Check transmission steps.
