9. Getting started with the transmitter

In the operating instructions, the numbers in the text always refer to the figure opposite or the figures
within the section. Cross references to other figures are indicated with the respective figure number.
a) Screwing on the antenna of the transmitter
Insert the antenna of the transmitter as far as it will go from the front/ top though the circular opening into the housing
of the transmitter (also see figure 1, Pos. 1) and then turn it tightly like a screw. Seize the antenna as much as this is
possible manually. Use neither force nor tools to tighten it.

b) Inserting the Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries

For the power supply of the transmitter you will need 8 alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries mignon size (AA).
For ecological and also for economical reasons it is recommended to use rechargeable batteries, since they can be
recharged in the transmitter via a built-in charging socket.
Warning!
The enclosed power-pack unit is not suited for charging accumulators in the remote control
transmitter!
To insert the batteries or rechargeable batteries, proceed as follows:
• The battery compartment lid (1) is located on the rear
side of the transmitter. Please press the corrugated
triangle and push off the lid downward.
• Remove the battery holder (2) and place 8 batteries or
rechargeable batteries in the battery compartment. Pay
attention to the correct polarity of the cells. A
corresponding indication (3) is located at the bottom of
the battery compartment.
• In order to be able to place the battery compartment
again in the remote control easily, it might be helpful to
disconnect the BEC connector (4) then to re-connect it.
• Slide the cover of the battery compartment back on and
let it snap into place.
